27 March – 24 April 2010
Papunya Tula Artists in conjunction with Utopia Art Sydney is proud to present the second solo exhibition by Eileen Napaltjarri.
Eileen is the daughter of Charlie Tararu Tjungurrayi and paints the rockhole and soakage site of Tjiturrulpa which is situated in rocky hills west of the Kintore Community.
The lines in Eileen’s work represent the lengths of wood collected by ancestral men and women as they travelled east towards the rockhole site of Illpilli. The wood was then fashioned into various tools including spears, nulla nulla and boomerangs.
