Western Desert Nganampa Walytja Palyantjaku Tjutaku Aboriginal Corporation Celebrate 10 Years

This week Western Desert Nganampa Walytja Palyantjaku Tjutaku Aboriginal Corporation (AKA The Purple House) celebrates an important milestone. This hard working team, have been providing high quality dialysis services in Alice Springs and Kintore, continuously for 10 years. WDNWPT began after Papunya Tula Artists Pty Ltd, raised in excess of one million dollars at an auction of paintings at the Art Gallery of NSW in 2000. Since that date, the organisation have grown into a strong community controlled health service at the forefront of holistic models of care for people with end stage renal failure. Since September 2004 they have had machines and nurses in Kintore 550kms west of Alice and at the ‘Purple House’ in Alice Springs.
