Papunya Tula Artists Pty Ltd are proud to present two stunning exhibitions of recent works from the Western Desert Pintupi communities of Kintore and Kiwirrkura.
This year we look forward to adding to the excitement of the ‘Desert Mob’ weekend, with ‘Desert Mob’ kicking off proceedings at the Araluen Arts Centre on Thursday 7th September, and Papunya Tula Artists opening the following night on Friday 8th at the 63 Todd Mall gallery.
The exhibitions, consisting of over seventy-five works, will include a long anticipated solo show by senior Kintore artist Morris Gibson Tjapaltjarri. Morris is the son of founding shareholder Yala Yala Gibbs Tjungurrayi and Ningura Napurrula, both highly regarded and celebrated artists who had long careers painting through the Company.
Also on offer will be group selections by acclaimed artists Warlimpirrnga Tjapaltjarri, Charlie Tjapangati, George Tjungurrayi, Nanyuma Napangati and Yukultji Napangati.
The exhibitions will be officially launched at 6pm Friday 8th September with everyone welcome.
